But basically, if you have a $2 bill with Thomas Jefferson on it, you’re likely referring to the current bills, which have a green Treasury seal and green serial numbers. These bills could be dated as recently as 2013 or as early as 1976, and unless they have a unique error or low serial number, are never worth more than $2.
There are other $2s with Jefferson on them. Bills with red Treasury seals are either 1928, 1953 or 1963 series, and have additional value, especially if they’re in good condition. There are large sized notes like the 1918 (with a battleship on the back) and even the 1869 “Rainbow Note” that would have great value.
In summary, if you have any $2 bill with Jefferson on it from 1976-present, spend it like normal money; it’s worth $2. But you have added value if you have anything else.
